Climate Change Preparedness Center has been outfitting Americans for a more aquatic future since October 2005.

Our mission began when Jane Van Cleef, a Harvard senior, used her passions for wet weather gear, future landscape studies, and factory enterprise to start an innovative small business. During April, May, and June of 2006, CCPC sold visionary yet functional locally-produced merchandise from two store locations in Cambridge, Massachusetts. CCPC was reviewed in the Harvard Crimson, the Harvard Gazette, and the online arts magazine Big, Red, and Shiny.

Since then, we have continued to provide satisfied customers with CCPC styles both old and new, using mail order catalog sales and e-commerce, as well as face-to-face sales in New York City. As we recruit more vendors to carry the CCPC line, we hope to leave still more customers secure in the knowledge that they’re prepared for the uncertain weather conditions of tomorrow.
